The FCA Mission 

To present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.

The FCA Values 

Our relationships will demonstrate steadfast commitment to Jesus Christ and His Word through Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence.

Integrity 

We will demonstrate Christ-like wholeness, privately, and publicly. (Proverbs 11:3)

Serving

We will model Jesus’ example of serving. (John 13:1-17)

Teamwork

We will express our unity in Christ in all our relationships. (Philippians 2:1-4)

Excellence 

We will honor and glorify God in all we do. (Colossians 3:23-24) 

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is is bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to coaches and athletes around the globe. Students will get to know one another as one body of believers to fellowship, play games, and live out God’s word.

LMS Huddles Meetings
Friday Mornings

FIRST MEETING:  Friday, September 6

 

Huddles - A time where we break our large group down into smaller groups giving the students a chance to be in a smaller setting allowing them to become a little willing to share and talk about what God is doing in their lives.

Verse(s) - share the one verse or if you can find other verses that have the same meaning - be sure to ask other people to read these during the huddle time.

Feedback - ask the  group how they relate or understand the verse - (ask the group to share) Be prepared for some awkward silence and give the kids a chance to speak.

Reflection - share with the group what you think the verse means and how it can apply to us.

Questions - prepare two to three questions about what you discussed.  Prepare your answers to these questions in case no one speaks.  Be prepared for some awkward silence and give the kids a chance to speak.

Prayer Request/Closing Prayer - time permitting, go around your circle and ask people to pray if they will and just pray what’s on their heart - when done just say “In Jesus Name” - that will let the next person know you are done  - if someone does not want to pray, then you just say “In Jesus Name”.  Once it gets back to you the Huddle Leader - close the prayer with your own prayer request - again - just say what is on your heart at the time and thank him for the opportunity to gather together and discuss Your Word and how it applies to us - and ask Him to protect everyone as they walk down these halls.

FCA Service Projects

Integrity. Serving. Teamwork. Excellence

FCA's four core values — give us a foundation from which we can carry the message of Christ to coaches and athletes through the vehicle of sports. Through God's provision, the ministry has grown beyond anything we could've thought or imagined over the past six decades.

While each of the core values is fundamental to what we do at FCA (and who we are as Christ-followers), Serving is one of the key ones as that is what Jesus did while He was here on the earth - He Served!.  Think about it: No other action a person can take leaves as profound an impact on another as serving. It's a basic, essential part of the daily Christian walk. Each day, we should be committed to serving others, simply putting their needs and wishes in front of our own. 

WINTER RECHARGE

When: December 21-23, 2024
Where: Woodlands Camp - Cleveland GA
Who: Students Grades 6th-12th, Coaches & Families
Cost: Students - $200, Adults - $160,3 yrs to 5th grade - $120, 2 & under - free

 

St. Simons

When: July 2025
Where: Epworth by the Sea, St. Simons, GA
Who: Students Grades 6th-12th, Coaches & Families
 

We are excited to offer the 3rd Annual FCA Pickleball Tournament.  All money raised from this event is used to send students to FCA Winter Recharge in December. Below are the details and we hope that you will join us!

Divisions: 2.5-4.0+
Cost: $30 per player
All money raised supports FCA at Loganville High School. 

 

Times
Session 1: 8:30-10:30   2.5-3.0 Division/ Beginner (8 Teams Max)
Session 2: 10:45-12:45  3.0-3.5 Division (8 Teams Max)
Session 3: 1:00-3:00     3.5+ Division/Advanced (8 Teams Max)
Courts will be open for a 10 minute warm up before your session. 

All teams will get 6 total games. 
1 Cross Division Game: Game to 11 or 10 min max time.
3 Division Games: Division Games will be to 15 or a 15 min max time. (5 minutes between games)
Seeds 1-2 in each Division advance to Gold Bracket/ Seeds 3-4 Advance to Silver Bracket

Bracket Play will be to 15. 
(Win by 2) No time limit. 
Team Entry Payment made at the Event w/ Check or Cash. 
(Checks made out to LHS FCA)
