Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports  (PBIS)

PBIS is a process for creating safer and more effective schools. It is a systems approach to enhancing the capacity of schools to educate all children by developing research-based, school-wide, and classroom behavior support systems. The process focuses on improving a school’s ability to teach and support positive behavior for all students.

Spark Points

Students can earn Spark Points for following expectations in the HEAT matrix. With Spark Points, students can purchase items from the online store and also qualify for a Spark Out each quarter.

Spark-Outs

Students qualify to participate in Spark-Outs by earning enough Spark Points for each quarter and having no days of ISS or OSS for the previous quarter. Every student will attend the first Spark Out.

Spark-Outs have included the following activities: BINGO, movies, and Lunch on the Lawn.

Red Devil of the Month

Students are nominated by their teachers once a month for following expectations in the HEAT matrix.
